He and his wife Barbara have two beautiful daughters: Karis and Hope.

My husband and I have just started teaching the college and career class at our church. Our daughter is in this class and that is part of the reason we chose to teach the class. We know all the kids but have never taught a class before. Any pointers as to how to really get started. The class is very small only 3-5 students each sunday. I would appreciate any ideas you may have.

Hey Shannon, great question. I’d suggest a focus on getting to know those in the class and building relationships between them as well before starting a teacher-pupil setting. With that small of a group, if it’s appropriate in your church context, maybe even think about meeting off the church campus – in your home or at a coffee shop. Hope that helps a little.
