working with college-age people is one of the most rewarding things ever…but we have a lot to learn, concentrate on, be aware of, understand, embrace…you name it. here’s a video that is well worth watching…

WOW!! I’m impressed that they come right out and say it. We like living at home, and our tell our mommies we did good. How old are you?! The fact that they have never really punched a time clock? I know that this falls just as much, if not more on mom and dad. To see how they were “forced” to work early and such, then to have the mentality of “i’m not going to make my child do xyz.” Instead we’re going to coddle them? We are such a selfish nation, it blows my mind sometimes. We have so much, but it’s not good enough. I’m sorry but in a game or work or life, sometimes you DON’T win…I know marvelous concept. Did you try? Yes. Did you do your best? I hope so. But you didn’t win. That doesn’t make someone less of a person, they just didn’t come out on top. In fact it makes you stronger, if parents are willing to help the child recognize they’re going to be “ok”, and they’ll try again, and that they may have to work a little harder. Thanks Chuck for sharing.
